where i'm @

I have completed my Heinz ad and will post it for all to see on wednesday.
As far as research goes i have studied the history of ads and came across Rube Goldberg a cartoonist known for his "machines" as a start to my investigation for art and advertising.
I have been looking at slogans
www.saidwhat.co.uk/slogans has sologans to quotes

www.adslogans.co.uk has helped me to understand slogans and got me thinking as to:
*What is being advertised?
* To whom are you advertising?
*What do you know about your audience?
*What do you want them to do?
*What can you say that will get them to do that?
* What ideas might work?
* What is your key message?

As a group Laura and I have chosen to create a shampoo advert as alcohol adverts have too many restrictions. I couldn't find any real restrictions on advertising shampoo. however i think they cannot be misleading or lie as with most adverts as i discoverd an article in which a shampoo ad claiming to make hair 10% stronger was banned by the ASA due to "insufficient evidence to support the claim".

my aim for next week is to analyse shampoo ads from johnson, herbal essences and a few other famous brands to see the similarities and differences. I'm gonna try and have an aim for each week so i don't waste time!

i also found a helpful ad website www.tvwhirl.co.uk so check it out.
